Itinerary 3:
Shakti Peeths are worshiped as sacred pilgrimage sites in Hinduism. It’s believed that they are the locations where the body parts of Sati Devi, the consort of Lord Shiva, fell after her self-immolation. Each Shakti Peeth is associated with her specific body part and houses immense spiritual energy. Although their exact number differs according to various accounts, it’s generally believed that there are 51 of them scattered throughout India. Some of the most prominent ones are in Maharashtra and are referred to as the 3.5 Shakti Peeths.
